National Scrapbooking Month Layout 30-Left

Good morning Crafters! Today, I wanted to show you a layout I did for my boys a little ways back. Its one of my favorite pictures of my kids together.
Layout Information: The information for this layout can be found on pg in the Reflections Scrapbooking Program Book.

The papers for this layout were pulled from my stash to match the colors in the photo. I wanted to focus on the colors and designs in the chair my youngest is sitting in. I was lucky enough to find animal stickers that were similar, and I repeated the printed circles in the design as well. The letter stickers are "jewelry box" by Thickers.

See you all in the morning!

Layout Information:
This layout is my sketch. If you would like a copy please email me.

The Chantilly Paper Pack has to be one of my favorites for this seasons Idea Book. I love everything about it and I love creating with it. Today's layout features the blues, yellow and greens in the pack. Using the full Workshop on the Go kit, I used the Lagoon Cardstock as my bas and added some simple stitching around the edge to create a border without using more paper. Then I went off my sketch and added the papers. All of the edges were distressed with the edge distresser and then inked with Cocoa ink. I embellished with the compliments and accent packs. And just to add some soft color and pop, I punched some circles with my punches and layered a few on the page.

Tomorrow's layout will also feature the Chantilly Paper Pack. See you all then!

Summer Fun party Supplies!

Hi Crafters! I wanted to share with you my take on the May Stamp of the Month. This month features adorable pinwheels and bold stars. I thought it was perfect for a Summer Time Fun Themed birthday party for my son's 6th birthday.

For the Invitations, I stamped the largest 2 pinwheels in Outdoor Denim and Pear Exclusive ink. The stars were stamped in Outdoor Denim and Sunset. I cut everything out by hand and layered them on to each other. I built my card base using the standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base in Outdoor Denim and printed out the party information on white printer paper. The sentiment came from the stamp set too. I layered it on with 3D Squares to add dimension.

These are the party favors that all the kids will get. They are Pillow Boxes cut from the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge at the largest setting. I splattered coordinating paints on the white box to help tone down the brightness of the white. I also added the same pinwheels and stamped the tag with the Love Life stamp set. The finished product measures approx 5 1/4 x 7 3/4.

You can get your May Stamp of the Month for just $5 when you order $50 or more. Click HERE to order yours. Remember, this stamp set is only available until May 31st 2013 so get yours before its gone!

Roxybound Scrappers Team Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Roxybound Scrappers Team Blog Hop! If you have come here from Catherine's Blog you are in the right place! This month we are featuring artwork using the Buzz and Bumble Paper Pack and Claire Paper Pack!

Today, I have a Mini Album I made using the Dimensional Elements Album Pages. The album pages are filled with stamped and colored images from the Buzz and Bumble Workshop on the Go Stamp Set and coordinating Inks. I also used the My Stickies and Assortment pack to dress up the pages. To help dress up the binding rings, I tied pieces of Dark Chocolate Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Tulle and coordinating Hemp from my stash.
The Library Pocket was made from one of the B&T Papers in the pack. I stamped, colored and fussy cut the flowers to embellish.

This page has a card that opens up. The Wax Seal holds it closed. I added cardstock to the half I didn't want sticky.

If you have the Cricut Artiste Cartridge, or access to it I highly recommend using it to cut the shapes for the Album pages. I do not have it at this time so I went the old fashioned route. I covered one side of the Album page with Modge Podge and laid it on the back of the paper I wanted showing. Then, I carefully cut around the page with my craft knife and self healing mat. I finished off the edges with the Sanding Kit and added Cocoa Ink to hide any errors.

Now hop on over to Amber's blog and see what she did :)

Supplies used:
Buzz and Bumble Workshop On the Go Kit
Buzz and Bumble My Stickies Assortment

National Scrapbooking Month Dream Pop Layout 18-Left

Today's post has a small tutorial attached at the bottom. It also features the Teal/Outdoor Denim/Pink color combo (I am loving it!).

Supplies:
Dream Pop Paper Pack
Outdoor Denim Cardstock
Colonial White for accents and mats
Lagoon Exclusine Ink pad
Slate Exclusive Ink pad
Cotton Candy Exclusive Ink pad
2" Scallop Circle Punch
Love Life Stamp Set
Acrylic Blcoks
Stamp Scrubber and Spray
Scissors
3D Squares

Layout Information:
The information for this layout can be found on page 31 in the Reflections Scrapbooking Program book.

The accents were built using the Love Life stamp and cardstock. I used 3D Squares and my tape runner to add dimension between layers.

I love matting my accent pieces for a layout. The add depth, color and sometimes texture depending on the paper. But I don't always have enough paper to mat or don't always what to use a piece that large for only 1/2 in to show. So I make a fake mat on my accent piece. All you need is a piece of coordinating cardstock or pattern paper that is double the width of what you want your mat to be. I usually mat with 1/4 inch so my mat piece is 1/2x12in

The first thing I do is lay my pieces down on my self healing mat to help keep things nice and straight. Then I add my adhesive to the back of my accent piece, leaving a 1/4 in mat.

Add as many as you want!

See you all in the morning!

National Scrapbooking Month Dream Pop Layout 14-Left

When I started this project, one of the things I wanted to do was to try to add one of our solid colored cardstocks other then Daisy White or Colonial White. One of the colors I chose to use was Outdoor Denim. It matches very well with the real notebook paper pattern and I found that the pink stands up against it well. So here is the first layout I created featuring this color combination. I have also added some Colonial White to help ease the eyes transition from the pink to Outdoor Denim.

Supplies:
Dream Pop Paper Pack
Outdoor Denim Cardstock for my base
Colonial White Cardstock for mats
Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge
Girls Rock Stamp Set
Acrylic Blocks
Blush Exclusive Ink pad
Outdoor Denim Exclusive Ink pad
Cotton Candy Exclusive Ink Pad
Lagoon Exclusive Ink pad
Stamp Scrubber and Spray
Opaque Pearls
3D Squares

Layout Information:
This layout can be found on Pg 47 in the Reflections Scrapbooking Program. I made the main photo mat slightly larger then called for.

The accents on this layout are the cut and stamped to match and accented with Opaque Pearls.

See you all in the morning!

National Scrapbooking Month Dream Pop Layout 13-Right

We are on day 13 and today's layout is the compliment to yesterday's layout. I absolutely love it!

Supplies:

Supplies:
Dream Pop Paper Pack
Outdoor Denim cardstock
Slate Exclusive Ink
Love Life Stamp Set
Slate Washi Tape
White Daisy Flowers
Opaque Pearls
Tape Runner
Paper Trimmer
Zots-Small
Tweezers
White Gel Pen
Acrylic Blocks

Layout Information:
This layout can be found on page 30 in the Reflections Scrapbooking Program book.

This layout was kept simple like yesterdays. I used the bottom piece from the original pattern paper and added my strips and Outdoor Denim cardstock on the top. I felt that the Outdoor Denim needed some help so I added the flourish image from the Love Life stamp set and then colored over it with the White Gel Pen. I sprinkled some Opaque Pearls around to give a little sparkle and finished the layout wit Love stamped on the left side and the Washi tape with flowers and pearls towards the right bottom.

Both layouts:

To add the white flourish first stamp with Slate ink to act as your guide.

Then, trace over your image with the Gel Pen

See you in the morning!
